Rating by category:
I liked that the hotel is in the center of Rome so that you can practically walk around to many of the touristic places quite easily
there are few things i didn't like about the hotel: 1) the breakfast is really poor. 2) I didn't feel i got the overall value for the money i spent. 3) finally the staff was not very helpful
quiet central comfortable location
breakfast poor for 4*. fresh fruit, better coffee reqd
the location was very closed to most rome attractions.however the restuarent is not good, staff were just normal, rooms r normal
elevators very small and it is very expensive for what it has to offer
Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff given we were delayed in our departure due to the Volcano canceling flights.
Located on small, quiet street near ancient Rome. The breakfast was great and included in the room price. I thought that with the price was expensive.
Very central, and in a quiet back street. Bit off the tourist throng so you can find some really nice local resturants with local italians. We insisted we stayed on the second floor with the refurbished rooms which were excellent.
The staff were extremely helpful.the hotel was in a fantastic location for seeing as much of the beautiful city that is Rome. Hotel was spotlessly clean and housekeeping staff pleasant and discreetly helpful.
Breakfast could be improved on, if I was to look for a fault!
Giampiero Fioretti was excellent. We were made to feel very welcolme. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
The continental breakfast was distinctly average
walking distanse to main attractions of Rome historical center
Very small rooms, too old building
The location. It is close to the Trevi Fountains and the Coloseum,
The blanket looks very old and unclean.
The Hotel is located in the heart of Rome and is in a great location. It took just minutes to walk to the Coliseum and the Trivi Fountain. The staff at the Bolivar Hotel are Fantastic. Upon our arrival/check-in the concierge had our luggage taken up to the room, provided us with a map and gave us suggestions on what the important things to see while we where there. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. Just remember that you are in Europe so thing are smaller than you are used to if you come from the U.S. We had a family unit that was one large room with a Queen size bed and two single beds. The bathroom was decorated with all marble and adequate. If you stay I recommend including the breakfast option, it was worth it!
Not that I didnt like it, but when driving up to the Hotel you might question your decission to stay at the Hotel. Rest assured you made a great decission and I recommend that you don't judge a book by it's cover. The hotel is not located on a main street which is a plus when it is time to sleep. We did not hear the traffic from the streets at night which was great. It is just down a short 40ft alley behind a building off the main street.
Bathroom was not a good size and quite run down. Breakfast was at a very low standard.
The hotel is mid on the City and this is a great advantage for both, business events of for a visit to the monuments of Rom
The location was perfect for walking to most all of the tourist sites! Most sites were a 10 minute easy walk. We also loved the breakfast room with a view, and the breakfast was really good too. The morning desk person was very friendly and most helpful. He spoke English well and even helped us book our train ticket to Bari.
We didn't like the hard bed and flat pillows. But that is personal preference.
